Actively solicits prospects and referral sources for new commercial loan and deposit opportunities. Plays an active role in the community representing the Bank and obtain new business leads. Identifies cross-sell opportunities and makes referrals to the appropriate areas of the Bank. Performs preliminary underwriting to determine credit worthiness and presents loan requests for approval. Negotiates loan terms and Bank documents. Ensures loans are risk rated properly. Develop and maintain banking relationships with business prospects and existing clients to achieve established sales goals. Collaborate with branch partners to cross-sell bank products and services to business customers. Network with centers of influence (e.g., accountants, attorneys, referral sources) to generate new business. Proactively initiate sales conversations and conduct calls on prospects and referral sources. Determine client banking needs and structure appropriate financial solutions. Provide financial counseling and deliver high-quality customer service. Loan production of $20MM+ Deposit balance production of $2MM+ Product sales goals including cash management, Visa merchant services, and others as assigned Manage loan portfolio and ensure asset quality (e.g., past dues, charge-offs, non-accruals, criticized assets). Evaluate credit information and recommend appropriate loan structures to manage risk. Analyze applicants’ financial capacity and determine creditworthiness within loan policy guidelines. Negotiate loan structure, pricing, and terms with underwriters and clients. Coordinate with administrative and credit departments to prepare written credit analyses and handle loan closings. Recommend appropriate risk ratings and assist in the collection of past due loans. Conduct credit checks, financial assessments, and site visits as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of all customer and bank relationships. Meet periodically with the Chief Lending Officer to review pipeline and discuss loan requests. Play an active leadership role in the community and at corporate events to support business development. Promote and support the bank’s Community Development efforts. Assist other lending staff as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Qualifications And Requirements
Four-year college degree in business preferred. Successfully completed formal lending/training program or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years commercial lending experience. Ability to determine through underwriting/analyzing loan requests the viability of a loan request. Must be proficient with commercial loan structuring and government regulations. Ability to attract and retain commercial relationships. Must possess knowledge of loan documentation. Ability to manage larger more complex credit requests. Must be a team player.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: We offer a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote after the initial 90-day period.
Compensation Disclosure
In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The wage range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, plus discretionary annual bonus. Compensation is determined based on factors such as Experience, Qualifications, and Internal equity.
