Job Description
Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the Division of Cardiology. Has primary responsibility for the division's overall operations, including patient care in hospitals and clinics, research, educational, and advocacy initiatives as determined by the Center leadership.
The Division Chief offers clinical, academic, and administrative leadership, overseeing inpatient work and outpatient clinics at Children's National. The scope includes cardiologists, fellows, advanced practice providers, imaging labs, and procedural units. The Chief collaborates with the Executive Center Director and Senior Vice President to supervise clinical operations.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Heart Center. The Chief is an accomplished leader responsible for administrative and financial oversight of all division activities, including budget management, quality, safety, and financial performance of clinical programs.
Responsibilities include recruiting and retaining talent, overseeing hiring and termination processes, and ensuring high standards of care and operational excellence.
