The service member must be within the last 12 months of their active-duty contract. This is an unpaid, non-benefit eligible internship position in partnership with the DoD SkillBridge program. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead with a safety mindset to ensure injury-free associates. Champion safety procedures and training. Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching, training, and performance discussions. Create a cohesive organization by maintaining open communication and directing workflow. Supervise associates' work and productivity, fostering engagement and embodying US Foods values. Participate in hiring and performance reviews, and address performance gaps. Ensure accurate order fulfillment, staging, and loading. Monitor operational data and take corrective actions as needed. Designate dock locations, ensure proper stock placement, and oversee replenishment. Maintain warehouse safety and equipment condition. Work with management to identify and address inventory shrink. Inspect for safety hazards and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met. Schedule shifts using planning tools. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
At least three years of warehouse distribution experience. At least one year of supervisory experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Broad knowledge of warehouse operations. Strong leadership and communication skills. Familiarity with inventory control and safety regulations. Ability to interpret operational data. Basic computer skills. Physical Qualifications Must be able to perform physical activities such as driving, lifting, climbing, grasping, manipulating objects, and manual dexterity tasks. Additional Details
Travel: 10% Education: High school diploma or GED required; college preferred. Salary: $55,000 - $90,000 depending on experience. Note: The job is active and accepting applications.
