A candidate for this role must have a fair understanding of engineering and construction industry of different functionalities within the industry, such as engineering, bidding, procurement, and construction.
The Document Controller will manage the intake of construction documentation; review documentation; organize documentation to the correct storage locations; and update stakeholders with progress of documentation process.
This role reports to the sourcing manager - Supply Chain, however, will work closely with business development and estimating team, engineering team and multiple Operations Teams.
Set up supply chain folder on documentation software, such as Sharepoint
Set up projects on estimating software, such as Smartbid
Incoming quotes: Store quotes in the right locations, inform estimators the receipt of quotes, manage quotes in estimating software
Document control for Sourcing team on Sharepoint.
Assist with bid progress tracking: keep track of vendors who have accepted/declined and mark on Smartbid/bid tracker, follow up with people who have not responded, keep track of questions coming in on current bids.
Enforce document coherence and consistency in project life cycle and across different departments.
Maintain confidentiality around sensitive documentation.
Develop documentation management procedures so that they are standardized and conduct audits to ensure processes are being followed.

Education Associate Degree Bachelors Degree
Position Requirements Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, OR 2+ years of related of document management experience on construction projects in lieu of a degree.
Awareness of electrical, civil, and other relevant disciplines
Knowledge of the scope and construction life cycle sequencing of project schedules.
Experience with managing documents in various types of office software including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint).
Experience working with collaborative management systems.
