This is a non-exempt position with a salary range of $21.48 - $26.43 per hour. Starting pay is based on direct comparable experience.
Anticipated hours for this position are 5:00 am to 12:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday
This position will be reporting in Hillsboro to pick up a vehicle and will be driving one of our 14 passenger buses. The Route served by this position serves the North Hillsboro area.
What You'll Do Safely transport customers to and from their destinations along a dedicated fixed route. Transport customers according to the schedule and instructions given by the Program Manager. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle if needed, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. Provide friendly and respectful customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and exercise caution while driving, especially when transporting passengers with mobility challenges. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including monitoring and maintaining proper vehicle fuel levels. Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record A minimum of 5 years driving experience as recorded by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds safely and secure wheelchairs safely in enclosed spaces. Ability to access reliable transportation. Experience and comfort with using smartphones, and tablets. Ability to pass a National Criminal Record Check which includes fingerprint identification. If a record exists, the nature and severity of charges will be discussed with candidates and, in some cases, may not be a barrier to employment. This position may be required to perform "Safety Sensitive" duties per Federal Transit Administration (FTA) guidelines. When required the employee assigned to this position must participate and remain in compliance with the FTA Drug and Alcohol testing program, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing.

Bilingual or Multi-lingual Previous experience working as a driver, preferably in a customer service-oriented role or operating a large vehicle. Experience, lived or otherwise, working with older adults and people with disabilities. Benefits
