Project Manager - Commercial/Industrial Construction

The Project Manager is the leader and facilitator of the construction team, overseeing the successful outcomes of assigned commercial/industrial projects for the company. The Project Manager leads the team with a focus on the client, utilizing direct communication, setting clear direction, and establishing high expectations.
This position requires dedication and a strong sense of accountability, with the ability to align with the executive team to contribute to the company's strategic objectives The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in design and construction, bringing dedication and thoughtful input to our projects. The full-time job involves both hands-on and administrative duties.
Job Summary
The Project Manager is the leader and facilitator of the construction team, overseeing the successful outcomes of assigned commercial/industrial projects for the company. The Project Manager leads the team with a focus on the client, utilizing direct communication, setting clear direction, and establishing high expectations.
You must be willing to travel to neighboring cities to visit and work on job sites throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, as well as occasionally to other locations in Arizona. Therefore, reliable transportation is a must.
Job Responsibilities:
To provide leadership and to establish and maintain effective working relationships of the entirety of the Project Team and to promote positive project morale.
Collaborate with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.
Execute Projects in accordance with the Owner Contract.
To have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the General Contract, each Subcontract, the contract drawings, specifications, and addenda, and to develop the on-site procedures.
Obtain all necessary construction permits and abide by required regulations.
Evaluate Subcontractor proposals, prepare Subcontracts, and award to selected Subcontractor.
To verify that each Subcontractor has completed their contractual requirements as a condition precedent to beginning their work at the jobsite.
Perform Cost Estimating and manage Change Orders and Pay Applications.
Maintain Schedule, updating regularly.
To review and approve Subcontractor's monthly pay applications.
Provide Project Cost/Profit reporting and forecasting.
Lead Project Team to include: Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to complete the scope of the Project, on schedule, and within budget.
To lead regular Owner-Architect-Contractor coordination meetings and issue minutes to the Project Team as a result thereof.
Issue regular Meeting Minutes, Progress Reports.
Assist in inspections for relevant agencies.
Work closely with the superintendent to oversee Subcontractor/Vendor Procurement performance to contracts/PO's and Project requirements.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degrees in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Applicants with relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
Current position: Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager.
1-3 years construction experience as Project Manager.
3-5 years construction experience as Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager.
Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods. Experience in Tilt Construction/Earthwork/Paving/Site Utilities/Electrical/Roofing/Hybrid Roofs preferred.
The ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.
OSHA 30, Dust Control, CPR/First Aid Certifications
Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Project Management Software, knowledge of Procore a plus.
