Senior JavaScript Software Engineer

Our fintech software startup client in Raleigh is adding to their growing team! As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a small and experienced team to contribute to the end-to-end design, implementation, and operations of the company's proprietary cloud based, distributed software platform in the financial software industry , using blockchain technology to transform how companies and investors handle securities . The qualified candidate has extensive experience with JavaScript and React 18 or higher, as well as exposure to Ethereum, smart contracts, or other Blockchain technologies.
This is a direct-hire opportunity with benefits. Target salary range is $140,000 - $170,000 depending on experience and fit. The role is designed with a hybrid schedule, and the company HQ is in downtown Raleigh. Candidates must be located within commutable distance to the Triangle metro area of NC, USA. No visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, or subcontracting arrangements are available.

Responsibilities of the Senior JavaScript Software Engineer
: Support the complete lifecycle of software development, from requirements through ongoing maintenance. Develop product software, testing software, and deployment automation. Support customer operations by developing feature enhancements or fixing system deficiencies. Develop and support application programming interfaces with third-party service providers. Support customer tickets as needed. Qualifications of the Senior JavaScript Software Engineer
:
8+ years of hands-on development experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 2+ years' recent experience using JavaScript as the primary programming language. Formal training in Computer Science, which includes design patterns; Bachelor's degree preferred. Extensive development experience with JavaScript and React (18 or higher). Extensive experience and fluency with Node.js and MongoDB. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, especially Google Cloud. Experience with Solidity contracts and Ethereum Blockchain strongly preferred. Strong professional skills including written & verbal communication, problem-solving, learning new processes & technologies quickly, and working towards delivery dates.
