Summary East Side House (ESH) has served the South Bronx since 1963, focusing on community development through education, food distribution, and employment programs like Jobs-Plus, which supports residents with workforce development and career services.
Responsibilities Under supervision, the Clinician will conduct needs assessments, provide individual and group counseling, develop intervention plans, screen for mental health symptoms, facilitate psychoeducation, provide clinical services on-site, make community referrals, conduct home visits, and maintain confidentiality and proper documentation.
Required Skills/Experience Must have extensive knowledge of family systems and behavioral interventions, with at least five years of clinical practice. Must be licensed (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT, or psychoanalyst). Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication and computer skills, and a positive attitude.
Competencies Teamwork, communication, client focus, time management, and organizational skills.
Work Schedule Full-time (35 hours weekly), Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with rotation on the first Saturday of each month, subject to change.
Clearances COVID vaccine required before start date.
Additional Details No supervisory responsibility. Business casual environment. Minimal travel. Physical demands include talking, hearing, and some filing.
