HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION The Education Program Aide provides Educator Guide level program support for Education programs throughout the year. This position reports to the Education Specialist. WHAT YOU WILL DO Provides customer service to program participants Prepares and ensures availability of program materials Otto Center Technician for Auditorium as needed Operates organization vehicles/mobile cart(s) Provides operational support for Education Programs WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The San Diego Zoo is seeking diverse team members to support our Premium Experiences team in creating engaging, memorable, and guest-focused experiences. Program Aides play a key role in ensuring our unique tours and experiences run smoothly by assisting with guest check-in, preparing program materials, transporting guests and equipment, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Ideal candidates are reliable, customer-service oriented, and excited to contribute to exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic environment. Applicants 18 years and older will be considered for the position with start dates tentatively set for early June 2025. EDUCATION
AND CERTIFICATIONS
Current valid California driver’s license
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
San Diego Zoo Global Customer service policies and practices Effective customer service skills and attitude Program responsibilities Communicate effectively Interact positively with children and families Take direction, ask questions for clarification when appropriate Work independently with general supervision • Accomplish required assignments in a timely fashion Work effectively with others as part of a diverse team environment
