Electrical-Mechanical Technician, Manufacturing
Location: Irwin Pennsylvania USA
Contract to Hire
Pay Rate- $33 - $35 / hour
Full Time Hourly Position
Our global manufacturing client is looking to add an Electrical Mechanical Technician to their team who will be engaged in a variety of technical duties, including electrical drafting, assembling machines, performing startup, debugging, and commissioning to ensure a successful completion and delivery of the product. In addition, you will have the opportunity to interact with/support other departments, such as Sales, Service, Machine Build, and Engineering to resolve customer requests/concerns. The candidate will travel to customers' sites to perform product installs, evaluate, repair, or provide preventive maintenance on machines when necessary.
Following each project, you will be responsible for the timely submission of reports/documentation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technology, with 0-5 years' experience in machine assembly or electrical troubleshooting
In the absence of an engineering degree, 5-7 years' experience in machine assembly or electrical troubleshooting is required.
Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
Capable of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, and electrical control systems for timely and functional service to a machine
Able to use micrometers, calipers, DMM's, oscilloscopes, etc.
Able to safely use hand tools.
Able to reach above shoulder level and stoop to floor level.
Knowledge of basic electrical drafting and design.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Allen-Bradley and Siemens programming software, and MS Office - primarily Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
Able to comprehend and follow ISO procedures and processes relating to job performance and quality.
Position Reports To: Machine Build & Service Manager
Travel may be required, possibly up to 60%, depending on customer requirements.
