Company Overview:nSelectek is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong background in industrial power distribution systems. This role involves working on single and multi-discipline projects, focusing on low voltage (600V and below) and assisting in medium voltage (MV) power distribution systems. This position requires a highly detail-oriented individual capable of ensuring the quality and technical accuracy of all project deliverables.nResponsibilities:nnProject Design & Execution: Execute electrical engineering design for single and multi-discipline projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards, and serve in a Lead role as assigned.nTechnical Quality: Ensure technical accuracy and quality of project deliverables, including calculations and design efforts.nSchedule & Budget Management: Achieve engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects.nLow Voltage Design: Independently design low voltage (600V and below) industrial power distribution systems.nMedium Voltage Assistance: Assist in designing MV power distribution systems, including selecting, specifying, and integrating MV equipment.nElectrical Studies: Conduct short circuit/arc flash/coordination and load studies.nSpecification & Modification: Specify and design modifications for Motor Control Centers (MCCs), including single lines and MCC layouts.nCable Tray & Conduit Design: Design cable tray and conduit systems and specify low voltage distribution equipment.nConstruction & Client Interface: Support construction, startup, and commissioning efforts, interfacing with clients to ensure successful project execution.nnQualifications:nnEducation: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.nExperience:nn5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial environments.nProficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design work.nFamiliarity with EasyPower or SKM software for load studies.nIndustrial power distribution experience with the ability to specify power distribution equipment.nField exposure to various manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or institutional environments.nnSkills:nnStrong written and oral communication skills.nIn-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code and industrial electrical codes.nnLocation: Cincinnati, OH, Cedar Rapids, IA, or Chicago, ILnEmployment Type: Direct HirenSalary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 annuallynSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMnKeys to Success:nTo thrive in this role, candidates should bring hands-on experience with industrial electrical design, familiarity with software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, EasyPower, SKM), and a client-focused approach to ensure successful project outcomes.
