Responsibilities: The
Electrical Engineering Manager
responsible for leading and coordinating multiple tasks and projects, developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, ensuring the timely completion of projects, and encouraging a positive work environment. In addition, you will take on design tasks for specific projects as a working engineer.
Salary:
Starting at $120,000-$160,000 Hours:
Business hours - Monday-Friday, standard 40-hour work week with occasional OT. Direct Hire -
Permanent Position/Salary-Exempt Travel:
Less than 10% Job Description: Continually improve engineering standards and processes Technical oversight of electrical manufacturing and testing requirements Design for manufacturability and work closely with manufacturing team for continual advancement of new ideas and process automation Responsible for engineering documentation controls Research and develop designs and products Determine the need for training and talent development Develop engineering team performance evaluations and benchmarks Oversee and manage quote reviews Hire required personnel and build teams Ensure products have the support of upper management Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams Check team's work for technical accuracy Coordinate work within the team and with other managers Project progress/timelines to handoff to manufacturing Monthly customer visits with sales reps Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) Industrial Controls design Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical. Ability to program PLCs. HMIs, Controllers, and VFDs Strong understanding of UL508A and NFPA 79 Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems Proficiency in advanced applied mathematics Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously Relevant training and/or certifications as an Engineering Manager Experience in the ISO 9000 family of standards is desirable
