Job Summary:
Metropolitan Methodist Hospital is recruiting skilled and dedicated emergency medicine physicians to join our collegial team in San Antonio, Texas. Qualified Candidates: - Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
- Possess strong communication skills
- Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Incentive/Position Details: - 66,000 annual volume
- 40 bed ED
- 40 hours of daily physician coverage
- 60 hours of daily Advanced Practice Provider coverage ( 44 hours on weekends)
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Academic appointment available: Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Texas San Antonio.
- 1099 position - up to 120 hours available
- Meditech EMR
Metropolitan Methodist Hospital and Methodist Healthcare System: - Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, a campus of Methodist Hospital, is a 378-bed hospital offering outstanding cardiac care, general and surgical care, neurosurgery, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, sleep disorder evaluation and the largest emergency department in downtown San Antonio.
- Level III Trauma designation
- 16 bed Level III NICU and 16 labor and delivery suites
- 12 OR suites
- Surgical center
- Cardiovascular services-including open heart surgery and PCT/CTO program
- Accredited Chest Pain Center
- Accredited Heart Failure Institute
- Primary Stroke Center
