Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Associate Attorney with flexible office locations in Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Palo Alto, CA; San Diego, CA; and San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in emerging companies and venture capital work, with a focus on start-ups and emerging growth companies.
Duties
- Advise start-ups and emerging growth companies on seed and venture capital financings.
- Manage public offerings and venture financings using NVCA documents.
- Handle domestic M&A transactions for startup companies and investors.
- Maintain and develop client and counsel relationships.
- Communicate complex legal matters effectively in both oral and written form.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of significant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work.
- Experience with at least ten venture financings using NVCA documents.
- Admitted to the state bar in which practicing or eligible to waive in.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- State bar admission in practicing location.
