Challenging Projects
As a Mid-Level Emerging and Disruptive Technology Analyst specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, you will support the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) in producing forward-looking, actionable intelligence. Your focus will be on all-source analysis of global AI/ML development, dual-use technology risks, and defense sector vulnerabilities—helping shape decisions for Force Design 2030 and broader strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and assess future and current military applications of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and disruptive technologies by foreign state and non-state actors. Conduct all-source analysis and produce authoritative intelligence on technologies projected to reach up to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6. Generate assessments evaluating potential impacts on USMC Operational Forces and global Defense Critical Infrastructure. Produce intelligence for the National Security Threat Capabilities Assessment and support global baseline threat assessments for the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP). Provide insight into the national security implications of foreign involvement in critical U.S. defense technologies and sectors. Support the U.S. National, Defense, and Acquisition Communities by producing comprehensive, predictive assessments on technology discovery, development, and deployment. Collaborate with Service Intelligence Centers and working groups on cross-domain analytic production.

You Have
Active TS/SCI clearance Bachelor’s degree in a field related to science, technology, intelligence, or engineering from an accredited institution* Minimum 8 years of experience conducting relevant analysis, with at least a portion within the last 2 years Demonstrated experience analyzing military applications of AI/ML and disruptive technologies Strong ability to synthesize complex or ambiguous data and produce insightful assessments Familiarity with Intelligence Community and DoD classification and dissemination protocols Proficiency in producing finished intelligence products using Microsoft Office tools Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with minimal oversight
Nice To Haves
Experience supporting the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity or related Service Intelligence Centers Knowledge of Technology Readiness Levels and dual-use export control risks Familiarity with the National Security Threat Capabilities Assessment or Defense Critical Infrastructure Program Experience leveraging structured analytic techniques such as ACH, Red Team Analysis, or High/Low Impact Analysis Additional experience may substitute for degree requirements
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
TS/SCI clearance is required.
