We are seeking an NDT Quality Test Specialist (CU) with a background in Aircraft Structures and Non-Destructive Testing experience to join our team in Lemoore, CA. Position Responsibilities: Provide assurance of the Field Operations QMS and related processes through active engagement with other functions supporting aircraft maintenance activities. Perform setup for specialized non-destructive Eddy current testing (ECT) and Mobile Automated Scanner System (MAUS) inspections using test or measurement equipment to controlled standards. Conduct audits referenced by 4790.2 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) aviation maintenance programs. Support colleagues in developing processes/procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to policies/procedures. Perform Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA). Support Safety/Quality investigations as directed by Lead/Manager. Manage Non-Conformance and input data into software tools. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement/Lean initiatives. Assist with metrics development supporting the wider Field Operations QMS. Attend required meetings and present associated metrics for review. Assist in documenting procedures for setting up test equipment. Analyze routine test, inspection, or statistical data to determine product and process conformity. Assist with standard corrective action recommendations. Document and communicate standard test, analysis, or measurement results. Report potential adverse trends or anomalous results. Basic Qualifications: Certified NAS 410 Eddy Current Testing (ECT). Preferred Qualifications: An AA degree in a related NDT discipline and typically 5 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance. 5+ years' experience maintaining F/A-18E/F, Aircraft Logs, and Records Books IAW 4790.2. 5+ years' experience with COMNAVAIRINST 4790.2 Series quality assurance programs such as FOD and Tool Control. 5+ years of experience working with composites and non-porous metals, such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless. 5+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures. 5+ years of experience using structures hand tools such as drills (45 and 90 degrees), pancake adapters, countersink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns. 5+ years of experience working heavy structures: locating, drilling, countersinking, and fastening structures (e.g., doublers, stringers, webs, seat tracks) to aircraft. Certified NAS 410 Mobile Automated Scanner System (MAUS). 5+ years of experience with NDT Quality Testing. 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An understanding and previous experience with the AS9100 Quality Assurance Management system. Capable of traveling on an as-needed basis (up to 25% of the time). Ability to work variable shifts (i.e., scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload. Typical Education/Experience: Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.). Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A U.S. secret clearance is required to start.
