Job Duties:
Vice President, Systems Engineering with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Draper, Utah. Apply expertise across engineering, including data center design, networks, storage, grid compute, operating systems, databases, communications, market data, and software languages. Oversee the design and build-out of the firm’s computer and data infrastructure, including internal hardware and public/private cloud solutions to enable on-demand scaling. Develop automated testing processes, standards, tools, and solutions to ensure operational efficiency. Utilize data mining and machine learning to identify and address infrastructure and platform issues. Manage application health, performance, and incident resolution, ensuring minimal operational errors. Automate failure responses using machine learning, analyze trends, and improve stability. Communicate with stakeholders during incidents and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience evaluated by a credential service. At least five (5) years of experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, application issues, UNIX scripting, Python, database support (DB2, Sybase ASE), SDLC, SQL tuning, and systems management for Windows platforms.
