Engineering Estimator: Electrical and Process Control Systems (001)

A leading System Integrator and Industrial Automation Specialist requires an Engineering Estimator with 10 + years experience in the Instrumentation, Electrical and Control System Engineering fields.

The company is based in Richards Bay and will require minimum travelling.

The requirements and responsibilities for the Engineering Estimator are, but not limited to, the following:
Duties and desired Skills:

• The primary role is in preparing proposals, tenders and quotations for small to large Electrical and Instrument Projects.
• The role requires liasing with a team of engineers, software technicians and construction leads in estimating commercial proposals to customers based on information obtained from site meetings, BOQ and SOW.
• Collaborate with Project leads to determine specifications for a project.
• Review Contract documentation and highlight key requirements.
• Develop project schedules on MS Projects
• Assist Project Leads with project documentation packs.
• Co-ordinate project initiation with Safety and Admin departments
  

Desired Qualification Level

• Advanced MS Excel Experience
• Ability to interact with all departments of the business.
• Good Understanding of time management across a business
• Project management Certification or Diploma + 10 years experience in an Electrical or Automation project environment. OR
• Trade Test Certificate (Instrumentation OR Electrical) + 10 years of work experience in a project environment. OR
• National Diploma in Electronics/Electrical engineering fields + 10 years of work experience in a project environment.

• You will serve 6 months probation.
• Must have own transportation.
