We are seeking a highly skilled
Principal Engineer
with expertise in
hardware (HW) and software (SW) integration
to drive
system scalability and optimization
. This role requires a deep understanding of
systems engineering principles

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Act as a
technical leader
, providing guidance and mentorship to engineers and cross-functional teams.
Lead
system architecture design
, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and regulatory requirements.
Drive
continuous improvement initiatives
, optimizing engineering processes and accelerating product development.
Represent
Advanced Operations (AO) Engineering
in high-level technical discussions and decision-making processes.
Engineering & Technical Expertise
Develop and implement
HW/SW integration strategies
to enhance product functionality and manufacturability.
Select and evaluate
critical components and technologies
, ensuring compliance with reliability and regulatory standards.
Provide
technical oversight
for manufacturing process development, equipment selection, and validation.
Drive
DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
,
PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
, and
system validation
efforts for new products.
Conduct
complex SW/HW troubleshooting
and provide innovative solutions for process improvements.
Design and implement
advanced SW testing frameworks
to ensure product quality and performance.
Introduce and optimize
automated testing
methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce variability.
Process Optimization & Compliance
Lead
data-driven decision-making
using
statistical analysis
, including
DOE (Design of Experiments)
,
CP/CPK
, and
MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
.
Ensure full compliance with
Stryker's regulatory, quality, and operational standards
.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
develop and maintain robust validation documentation
.
Champion
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
to drive operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
10+ years
of experience in engineering roles
Demonstrated success in
leading large-scale engineering projects and cross-functional initiatives
.
Preferred Skills
Strategic thinker
with the ability to balance short-term priorities and long-term goals.
Proven ability to
analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize
complex electromechanical systems.
Extensive experience in
HW/SW design, integration, and validation
.
Strong knowledge of
automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing processes
.
Ability to
influence, collaborate, and drive technical alignment
across multiple stakeholders.
Experience with
LabVIEW, TestStand, Python
, or other relevant software tools is a plus.
Deep understanding of
PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) processes
and ability to review schematics effectively
