Job Description: Operations Manager Location: Eastern Wisconsin Company: NeuQuality International Products 90 – A dynamic growing small business specializing in importing manufactured components with warehouse operations in WI and manufacturing partners and resources in Asia. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our importing and warehouse business. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering and new product development background and experience in industries such as lawn and garden, powersports, or agricultural OEM companies. This role requires a hands-on leader who is both strategic and operational, with the ability to coordinate across global supply chains with detailed accuracy.Products include castings, machined and welded components, mufflers, oil coolers, shocks, injection molded parts to name a few. Key Responsibilities: - Warehouse Operations: - Oversee the storage, inventory management, & distribution of products in our East WI warehouse. - Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. - Supply Chain Management: - Manage & maintain relationships with suppliers in Asia to ensure timely procurement of products. - Coordinate international logistics, including shipping, customs clearance, and compliance with import regulations with partner logistics companies. - Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of warehouse staff and logistics abd other outside support staff. - Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. - Process Improvement: - Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement solutions to enhance productivity. - Leverage mechanical engineering expertise to contribute to product development or technical troubleshooting as customer liaison on cost reductions and new product development and improvement. - Customer and Vendor Relations: - Meet with customer engineering, new product development and purchasing to continue to foster excellent relationships and support customer’s needs for on-time delivery, excellent quality and low cost initiatives. - Maintain strong relationships with both domestic and international vendors and clients. - Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting delivery schedules and addressing any concerns proactively. - Office Duties: -Create PO’s, Sales Orders, Packing Slips and Invoices -Enter and Pay Bills -Receive Payments and Enter Deposits - Monitor operational budgets and implement cost-saving measures. - Analyze key performance metrics and prepare reports for owner. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is desired. - 5 to 10 years + of experience in manufacturing and some management, preferably in lawn and garden, powersports, or agricultural OEM manufacturing industries. - Experience working with supply chains with international suppliers is desired. - Strong leadership, people skills and team management skills. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. - Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software is helpful. - Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance requirements is a plus. -Blueprint reading and understanding -Experience with Excel, QuickBooks and Microsoft Outlook. CAD program knowledge is a plus. Why Join Us?
