Direct hire opportunity with a client for a
Network Engineer / Cloud Architect
to lead the design and integration of secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure for an enterprise-level environment. This role plays a key part in transitioning legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms while maintaining high performance and strong security standards.
Essential Functions
Design and implement advanced network and cloud architectures Lead network strategy, modernization, and security initiatives Support cloud transitions and ensure seamless integration Participate in architecture reviews and help define network standards Drive network automation and orchestration efforts Collaborate with teams across IT and business units to align architecture with goals Contribute to disaster recovery, BCP, and network compliance planning Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar certifications preferred 7 to 10+ years in enterprise network architecture Strong expertise in core routing (especially BGP), switching, and hybrid infrastructure Proven experience designing secure, scalable cloud and on-prem network solutions Working knowledge of IT controls, change management, and network operations Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
