Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Senior Project Manager has the primary responsibility for planning, managing and executing projects for Brown-Forman that range from medium to large-scale initiatives with varying levels of scope, complexity, duration and team size. This role will manage cross-functional project teams consisting of 5-30+ business resources, technology engineers, external consultants, and leaders to successfully deploy projects in support of Brown-Forman corporate goals. Multiple projects will be assigned during overlapping time frames that can range from technical implementations to business process initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will follow the Brown-Forman Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) methodology to support successful project delivery and enhance communications and portfolio planning.
What You Can Expect
- Leads the delivery of medium to large initiatives (enterprise-wide, unit-specific and tactical operational projects).
- Ensures alignment of project stakeholders via superb communications, influencing, and relationship building.
- Oversees all project activities and overall delivery.
- Simultaneously leads multiple projects, coordinating resources across enterprise.
- Partners with the respective Business Leaders and associated IT Managers to promote the EPMO methodology and ensure quality in project deliverables.
- Ensures project activities are aligned with business goals, while meeting quality, scope, scheduling, and budget requirements.
- Throughout project deployment, fosters and guides full adoption of tools and common business processes.
- Provides leadership and training in the consistent use of the EPMO methodology.
- Drives the importance of risk management, formal test plans, and security controls.
- Ensures internal controls and Brown Forman's compliance requirements are consistently practiced and maintained.
- Provides accurate project timelines and ensures project activities and resources are aligned to deliver established priorities.
- Participates with Business Management Teams to develop and measure project success criteria and return on investment.
- Champions the promotion of improved inter-departmental relationships through effective project communications and practices.
- Advocates for change management with an empathy for relationships and positions.
- Develops self in the knowledge of Brown-Forman project methodology, technical skills and culture.
- Assists project resources in the awareness and knowledge of EPMO methodology to achieve increased productivity and quality in Brown Forman's project execution.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
- PMP Certification
- Ability to successfully deliver results in ambiguous situations and agile environments.
- 10+ years progressive experience in leading the deployment of medium to large scale enterprise projects.
- 5+ years experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
- 5+ years experience in project management information systems and methodology.
- Advanced change leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage communication, negotiate successful outcomes, identify risks, and engage stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in building detailed, technical project plans and the creation of all project management artifacts, including project charters.
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously develop, deploy and coordinate multiple projects, including technical systems and integrations.
- Deep level of proficiency and understanding of information technology and the linkage between business processes, people and systems.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate ideas and solutions across all levels of the organization, including operational employees, senior management, technical personnel and consultants (written & verbal).
- Strong facilitation skills to efficiently and effectively drive issue resolution and consensus across all levels of the organization, including multiple business units and functional area stakeholders.
- Ability to participate in project activities occurring in multiple time zones.
- Experience in a technical role with knowledge of systems and integrations.
- Experience working in international organizations with diverse cultures, business operations and organizational needs
- Experience in a manufacturing organization.
