About Celestial AI
As Generative AI advances, data center infrastructure performance is shifting from systems-on-chip (SOCs) to systems of chips. Celestial AI's Photonic Fabric offers a next-generation interconnect technology that provides a tenfold increase in performance and energy efficiency compared to competitors.
The Photonic Fabric is available in multiple forms, including optical interface chiplets, optical interposers, and Optical Multi-chip Interconnect Bridges (OMIB), enabling high bandwidth, low power, and low latency optical interfaces for AI accelerators and GPUs. It is compatible with standard 2.5D packaging processes, facilitating seamless integration for compute-to-compute and compute-to-memory fabrics, achieving terabit-per-second bandwidths with nanosecond latencies.
This technology enhances the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of AI processing, especially for training and inference, while reducing TCO2 impact. Celestial AI is developing a Photonic Fabric ecosystem through partnerships with silicon/ASIC designers, system integrators, memory providers, and packaging suppliers.
About the Role
We seek a motivated digital designer with experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to work on our next-generation CAI Photonic Fabric. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing signal processing algorithms for high-speed SERDES, collaborating with AMS and architecture teams on algorithm modeling, simulations, and system integration within our ASIC design group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design & Development : Develop digital algorithms and systems for high-speed SERDES, focusing on performance and efficiency.
- Algorithm Optimization : Analyze and refine DSP algorithms for low power, high performance, and real-time constraints on embedded platforms.
- Software Development : Collaborate with software teams to develop programming sequences for hardware blocks.
- Simulation & Testing : Conduct simulations and performance testing using MATLAB/Simulink and SystemVerilog.
- Define synthesis constraints and work with synthesis and physical design teams for implementation.
- Collaboration : Work closely with hardware, software, and architecture teams to ensure proper integration and functionality of DSP algorithms.
- Documentation : Prepare detailed documentation of algorithms, designs, and testing procedures.
- Research & Innovation : Stay current with DSP techniques, tools, and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's (8+ years), Master's (6+ years), or Ph.D. (4+ years) in relevant fields.
- Experience: Strong DSP algorithm design, RTL design with SystemVerilog, formal verification (SVA, UVM), experience with real-time DSP systems, FPGA acceleration, embedded systems, and DSP software tools.
- Skills: Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, SystemVerilog; knowledge of FFT, filtering, modulation/demodulation, noise reduction, error correction; hardware/software co-design.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills for real-time signal processing challenges.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Location : Orange County, CA
