Environmental Services Assistant

As an Environmental Services Assistant, you will act as an ambassador and support the mission of our hospital by optimizing the quality of life of our patients. Your duties will also include (but are not limited to): cleaning patient rooms or dismissal units; disinfecting all surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning of sinks, counter areas, shower and toilet, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming, restocking paper products and shampooing the carpet. You will follow proper procedure for separating regular waste versus biohazardous waste, disposal of needles, and storage of clean and dirty linens. You will clean public and ancillary areas, including backpack vacuuming duties, cleaning restrooms, trash disposal, and damp disinfecting. You will dispose of the Sharps container per policy (if applicable). You are: Reliable Team-oriented Excited to work in a fast-paced environment Organized and can provide exceptional customer service Able to read and speak English Qualifications: One year of housekeeping experience in the hospital/medical setting preferred HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient, and outpatient surgical services. Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children.
