Compensation
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.
Expected Minimum Pay Rate
USD $76,600.00/Yr.
Expected Maximum Pay Rate
USD $102,450.00/Yr.
Responsibilities
The Millwork Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing commercial casework for retail, airports, medical, financial, educational, hospitality, and other commercial environments. This role requires knowledge of construction principles and practices, regulatory and other building requirements, and the ability to provide direction, manage multiple projects within established cost, time, and quality requirements.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of architectural millwork while achieving operational and financial targets.
- Coordinate Handoff Meetings with the Estimating and Outside Sales Departments at the start of every project.
- Coordinate and manage all phases of the project including sales orders, production, delivery, and installation.
- Log and monitor all Change Order requests.
- Develop and manage critical project timelines; obtaining customer approval for timelines and monitoring the process to completion.
- Review and approve all shop drawings.
- Manage all specified submittals and samples.
- Plan, organize, and supervise essential field positions for company projects.
- Ensure compliance with all design and material specifications.
- Coordinate with field personnel that installation is consistent with schedule.
- Ensure quality control of work both in manufacturing and job site.
- Manage the coordination of daily construction activity and document and communicate significant events.
- Develop and maintain job costs, project budgets, and schedules.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent with five (5) years of project management experience in the architectural millwork industry and two (2) years experience performing estimating work.
Required Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of architectural blueprints and specifications.
- Relevant knowledge of construction including construction fieldwork experience.
- Knowledge of principles of project management and the practices, techniques, and tools.
Skills & Abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and collaboration with internal and external customers.
- A sense of urgency and flexibility to respond to changing demands/priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Strong time management skills and ability to perform well in a deadline-driven work environment.
Physical Demands - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
- Sitting including long-distance driving

- Phone and in-person verbal communications
Work Environment
Capitol Millworks is located at 4360 Roseville Rd, North Highlands, CA 95660. Work is performed in a business office environment. Frequent travel to other locations. Occasional exposure to extreme cold and heat.
