Job Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced senior Site Systems Security Administrator to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions. Responsibilities: Implement and maintain security measures across IT systems. Manage and maintain the security infrastructure of Information Technology (IT) systems. Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and information assets. Monitor security logs and alerts generated by security tools and systems. Install, configure, update, patch, and troubleshoot system security hardware, software, network devices and equipment. Investigate security incidents and breaches. Respond to security threats and incidents. Conduct regular security audits and assessments. Provide security awareness training and education. Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats. Establish and manage security protocols. Oversee the conduct of system security backup and recovery tasks. Implement operational and technical security controls. Conduct functional and connectivity testing. Maintain baseline system security. Manage system security/ server resources. Collaborate with engineering, operations and program management Leadership. Develop, implement, enforce, and maintain System Security documentation. 10% Travel may be required within the National Capital Region. **Position is Contingent on Contract Award** Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a counter-intelligence scope (CI) Poly clearance. Minimum of 12 years relevant experience with bachelor's degree or 10 with a master's or 7 with PhD. Proficiency in computer systems, networks and cybersecurity principles. Proficiency in cybersecurity technologies and practices. Currently active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security + Certification. Systems Administration of Windows Server and Operating system, Unix, or Linux and/or database skillset. Performing snapshots, disaster recovery, performance tuning. Installation, hardening, patching. Excellent troubleshooting skills and Tier 1 communication skills. Experience developing and maintaining security documentation. Desired Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance. Degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity. Other Certifications for security professionals: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate, and/or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Other DoD 8570.01-M IAT I or DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification. Subject Matter Expert in cryptography such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and/or Transport Layer Security (TLS). SECURITY CLEARANCE: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance. Peraton Overview
