As the FBM Additive Manufacturing (AM) Lead you'll be in charge of driving implementation and utilization of AM across the entire Fleet Ballistic Missile portfolio of programs. As the Program Additive Manufacturing Lead, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and application of AM technologies to improve program efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product performance. This is a key role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. We're looking for: A self-starter who develops solutions to technical and strategic issues A motivated individual who's able to work closely within a geographically diverse team Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines The ability to work with management and program representatives at several levels Leadership of small teams or projects Key responsibilities will include: Develop and implement additive manufacturing strategies and plans to support program goals and objectives Collaborate with program stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, materials & processes, and supply chain teams, to identify opportunities for additive manufacturing applications Drive and contribute to the greater Space AM strategy Produce and contribute to trade studies and business case analyses Provide technical expertise and guidance on additive manufacturing technologies, including design for additive manufacturing, material selection, and process development Work with suppliers and vendors to develop and qualify additive manufacturing processes and materials Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners, research institutions, and government agencies Stay up-to-date with emerging additive manufacturing technologies and trends, and assess their potential impact on the program Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational issues related to additive manufacturing Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of additive manufacturing initiatives To promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin cultivates an inclusive work environment that inspires differences and big-picture thinking. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
