Compensation: $17.00/hour Compensation Type: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Student Worker (Fixed Term) (Seasonal) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Grade: Work-Study Student Position Summary This position will act as Administrative Assistant to the One-Stop Center. Main tasks will include greeting visitors, answering basic questions, and assisting in special projects. They will be responsible for providing support to staff and students, answering phones, learning and communicating schedules and roles of each Student Service office within the Center. Acting as the first point of contact they will also be responsible for triaging questions and assistance needed, referring students to the appropriate office to receive the proper support. Being cross trained within each Student Service Department will allow the student to provide basic support to students, such as assisting with and collecting Admission applications, communicating the schedules and availability the Advisement Office and Financial aid Office, providing and collecting students form for the Office of the Registrar, as well as showing students how they can request official transcripts, access their emails, and navigating their class schedules. Other duties may include basic tech support with the Bookstore, Canvas, and Touchnet. Duties & Responsibilities Greeting and Assisting all who visit the One-Stop Center Answering and transferring phone calls Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of each Student Service Department: Advisement, Admissions, Financial aid, Office of the Registrar. Support Staff and Students in various capacities Assisting in the preparation of New Student Orientation and Commencement Collecting important documents: such as Applications, transcripts, student forms, etc. Basic knowledge of the roles and services of other Student Service Offices: Accessibility Center, Test Center, Career Center, Casher, Eagle Techs, Counseling and Student Support Center. As well as provide basic information for community services: Continuing education, AE, and HEP. High School Diploma or GED. Must be successfully enrolled in a degree program.
