iWorld Professionals is seeking a Facilities Engineering Project Manager for our client,
a healthcare sustainability company specializing in reducing costs, waste, and greenhouse gas emissions. This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia and will be an onsite/hybrid role for those in the Atlanta, GA area. The
Facilities Engineering Project Manager
will have a strong background in
facilities engineering, utilities management, or HVAC systems
to lead a strategic infrastructure project focused on improving energy and mechanical system performance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in
assessing and supporting the implementation of advanced systems for power, boiler operations, air conditioning, heating, water, and cooling . This individual will work across all levels of the organization—from senior executives to tradespeople—to ensure optimized operations and long-term sustainability in a complex, multi-building healthcare environment. Facilities Engineering Project Manager Responsibilities: Lead efforts to evaluate, recommend, and implement energy-efficient systems and facility improvements related to power, HVAC, steam, chilled water, and building automation. Develop and manage electronic project schedules incorporating phasing, logistics, permitting, testing, commissioning, and equipment lead times. Work closely with hospital facilities staff, vendors, and subcontractors to assess current operations and support improvements. Interface effectively with leadership, clinical staff, janitors, electricians, plumbers, and other building operations personnel. Track project budgets and timelines from planning through execution. Prepare weekly and monthly project updates including photo documentation and meeting minutes. Develop procurement strategies aligned with project priorities and budget; negotiate and manage contracts. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and energy regulations. Drive consistent communication with stakeholders and lead problem-solving efforts. Participate in and support implementation of tools for digital monitoring, AI-powered optimization, and real-time performance tracking of facilities systems. Facilities Engineering Project Manager Requirements: Organized, adaptable, and effective in a fast-changing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels. Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills. Willingness to travel and be present on-site as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar platforms. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, utilities management, building systems maintenance, or infrastructure project management. Prior experience in multi-building environments such as hospitals, universities, school systems, or malls. Expertise in HVAC, boilers, electrical, chilled water, and/or energy monitoring systems. Comfortable working across all departments—from executive leadership to on-the-ground operations teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; CMMS or building automation system experience is a plus. A proactive, service-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking and planning capabilities. Salary range $120,000 - $140,000 plus excellent company culture and benefits. Apply today to
