Key Responsibilities: - Conduct high-quality ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecological patients, including 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging. - Prepare patients for examinations by explaining the procedure, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort. - Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to optimize image quality while adhering to safety protocols. - Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing preliminary reports to physicians. - Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and contribute to the clinical decision-making process. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and reports, in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols. - Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with techniques, equipment, and best practices in obstetric and gynecologic sonography. - Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students as needed. - Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks. Qualifications: - Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) preferred; or registry-eligible candidates encouraged to apply. - Proven experience as a sonographer, with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology preferred. - Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to obstetric and gynecological ultrasound. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on patient care. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. - Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret sonographic images. - Proficiency in using electronic medical records and ultrasound imaging systems.
