The Opportunity
We’re hiring a
Director of Operations
to lead a high-performing team of Regional Managers across a rapidly expanding, multi-state portfolio. This is a pivotal, high-impact leadership role for an operations executive who knows how to drive performance, empower leaders, and manage complexity at scale.
You’ll be the connective tissue between regional property teams, general contractors, central operations, and investors—ensuring that performance doesn’t falter as we scale. Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage 8 Regional Managers overseeing multi-state portfolios of 6–8 properties each Serve as a field-level problem solver during leadership transitions or leaves (e.g., parental leave coverage) Own operational performance, staffing, financial outcomes, and property-level reporting Oversee and support renovation projects in partnership with GCs and construction teams Participate in investor and asset management calls, providing operational updates and insights Collaborate cross-functionally with centralized ops, finance, and construction leadership Maintain high visibility across the portfolio through site visits and hands-on leadership Must-Haves:
Leadership Over Other Leaders:
Direct experience managing Regional or Area Managers in a multifamily setting Multifamily Property Expertise:
Deep knowledge of conventional Class A and B properties (no affordable, HUD, or tax credit-only backgrounds) Renovation Oversight:
Experience managing or coordinating value-add or core-plus renovation projects across multiple sites Operational + Financial Ownership:
Skilled in driving NOI, managing budgets, staffing strategy, and capital planning Multi-State Portfolio Experience:
Proven ability to lead across diverse geographic markets Change-Ready:
Comfortable in high-growth, high-change environments with evolving priorities Preferred:
Background in a vertically integrated real estate platform
Exposure to centralized ops models and investor relations
Experience leading through organizational scale or change
