We are currently recruiting for a Food & Nutrition Services Assistant to join our team! As the Food & Nutrition Services Assistant, you will perform a variety of tasks including delivery, pick up of patient trays and menus, record patient consumption, record delivery, and pick up times, maintaining current diet checklists, and completing related daily reports. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. We want you to apply now! What you will do in this role: Perform routine duties related to preparation and serving of food. Prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items. Operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc. Clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage. Assist with food stocking. Serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient room. Work in the dish room when needed. Work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray. Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. What qualifications you will need: High school diploma or GED preferred. 6 months food service experience preferred, previous experience in hospital food services preferred. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient, and outpatient surgical services. Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children.
