Project: Deal Entry Portal (DEP)
Location: Houston , TX
Project Background:
Shell's Deal Entry Portal (DEP) aims to automate trade entries from multiple exchanges into Shell's ETRM systems, eliminating manual entries and delays in management reporting (e.g., P&L visibility). The role contributes directly to optimizing this process through robust application design and development.
Job Summary:
Seeking a Senior Python Developer with leadership skills to design, build, and support backend solutions for Shells Deal Entry Portal. The role requires strong hands-on development in Python, experience with distributed systems, and the ability to work closely with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop scalable APIs using Python (OOP).
Design and implement distributed, event-driven systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and lead technical delivery.
Mentor junior developers and ensure code quality.
Support production issues and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong Python backend/API development.
Distributed systems experience (Kafka, message brokers).
SQL/Oracle databases.
Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS, GitHub.
DevOps and CI/CD practices.
