What You'll Do: Groundswell is seeking a Workday Data Migration Lead to oversee the comprehensive data migration lifecycle for Workday implementations within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). This client-facing role will plan, coordinate, and execute data conversion strategies while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and security with government standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, hands-on Workday experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with federal stakeholders, system integrators, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead the complete data conversion process for Workday implementations, including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation. Collaborate with client stakeholders and technical teams to define data requirements and conversion strategies. Develop detailed data mapping and conversion plans aligned with project timelines and DoD or IC standards. Ensure data integrity and compliance with federal regulations throughout the conversion process. Identify and resolve data-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Document data conversion processes, mapping specifications, and validation results for audit purposes. Support testing phases by preparing and validating test data sets. Provide guidance and mentorship to data conversion team members, promoting best practices. Communicate progress and challenges effectively with project leadership and stakeholders. Required Qualifications: US Citizen with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Data Conversion Certification (additional certifications are a plus). 7+ years of experience in data conversion, migration, or integration, including at least 2 years in Workday or similar ERP/HCM implementations. Experience with federal clients, preferably within the DoD, Intel, or public sector. Strong understanding of data mapping, ETL processes, and data quality assurance. Proficiency in data conversion tools, SQL, and data analysis techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Workday Data Conversion tools and methodologies. Familiarity with NIST security controls and federal compliance frameworks. Workday certification in Data Conversion or Integrations. Familiarity with federal HR, payroll, or finance systems. Experience in large-scale ERP or cloud SaaS transitions for cleared customers. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices regarding data handling in government environments. The salary range for this role varies based on several factors, including skills and experience. A reasonable estimate for this position is $80,500.00 - $160,927.00.
