CPI Security, a national leader in residential and commercial security solutions, is seeking a Data Architect to join us on our data transformational journey. This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to implement a cloud data platform at a company that has fully embraced the Snowflake platform. This role will work directly with line of business leaders and technical users to design and implement our cloud data warehouse. CPI will leverage the data cloud for in our data warehouse, machine learning, and AI journeys. The ideal person will have extensive experience designing, building, and implementing data warehouses in the cloud. This is an on-site position at our HQ in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include cloud migration planning, designing, and implementation; modernizing finance data systems including ERP data migration and analytics; integrating external data from CRM and IVR platforms; modernizing BI and analytics capabilities; applying best practices in data modeling including Data Vault 2.0, Kimball, Inmon; building and automating data pipelines using tools like VS Code, dbt, SQL, and Python; cloud data engineering with agile practices; and enabling DataOps for reliable, scalable, and automated data workflows. Requirements include 5-10 years of experience as a cloud data architect with platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Google Big Query; 5-10 years designing ETL/ELT pipelines; 5+ years building data warehouses with Snowflake; deep understanding of Snowflake security and RBAC; strong technical and solution design skills; knowledge of data modeling, engineering, orchestration, governance, security, and quality; familiarity with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, Google Cloud; excellent communication skills; and a collaborative, innovative mindset. A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is preferred or equivalent work experience. Snowflake certifications are desired.
