A respected General Contractor based in Houston is seeking a Superintendent to oversee new ground-up industrial projects, including tilt-wall, PEMB, and large-scale warehouse developments. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality builds, this is a great opportunity for a proven field leader to join a stable and growing team.
About the Role:
As the on-site Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing all day-to-day construction activities from site preparation through to project completion. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical expertise, strong organization, and the ability to drive performance in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities, subcontractors, and field personnel
Enforce site safety plans and OSHA compliance; lead daily safety meetings and inspections
Manage project schedules, look-aheads, and sequencing to maintain key milestones and deadlines
Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure design intent and quality standards are met
Conduct regular progress meetings with subcontractors and clients; provide clear updates and reports
Proactively identify and resolve field issues, delays, and conflicts
Ensure site logistics, materials, equipment, and labor are efficiently managed
Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, inspections, RFIs, and change orders
Uphold site cleanliness, organization, and a professional representation of the company at all times
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor
Proven track record managing ground-up industrial projects, including tilt-wall and PEMB
Strong understanding of site development, concrete work, steel erection, and MEP coordination
Solid knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, safety regulations, and quality assurance
Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to build strong relationships on site
Stable employment history with consistent tenure at previous companies
