Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Github Copilot Team Engineer to join their team! This position is located in McLean, Virginia.

Duties:

1. Provide technical support for users of AI coding assistants in the enterprise.
2. Work with internal and external teams to resolve technical issues and troubleshoot.
3. Assist in configuring and optimizing AI tools to meet the specific needs of the enterprise.
4. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate engineers on the effective use of AI tools.
5. Monitor the performance and usage of AI coding assistants, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
6. Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and guidelines for using AI coding assistants within the organization.
7. Lead the exploration and evaluation of AI coding assistant tools and technologies.
8. Experiment with new features and functionalities of current AI coding assistants to enhance developer productivity.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI coding assistant capabilities into development workflows.
10. Release and manage AI coding assistant capabilities for engineers, ensuring smooth deployment and adoption.
11. Conduct thorough assessments and comparative evaluations of different AI tools to identify the most effective solutions.
12. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to bring innovation and drive continuous improvement.
13. Develop and support data load jobs for loading coding assistant telemetry data into internal data warehouses.
14. Monitor data pipelines and systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.

Desired Skills/Experience:

1. Proven experience as Lead Engineer, or similar role, with a strong background in software development.
2. Proven experience in a technical support or engineering role.
3. Hands-on expertise in Python programming and familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks.
4. Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, etc.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct comparative evaluations of different tools.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. A passion for innovation and staying current with emerging technologies in AI and software development.
8. Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
9. Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining IDE extensions for environments like Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, etc.
10. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
