Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Github Copilot Team Engineer to join their team! This position is located in McLean, Virginia.
Duties:
- Provide technical support for users of AI coding assistants in the enterprise.
- Work with internal and external teams to resolve technical issues and troubleshoot.
- Assist in configuring and optimizing AI tools to meet the specific needs of the enterprise.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate engineers on the effective use of AI tools.
- Monitor the performance and usage of AI coding assistants, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and guidelines for using AI coding assistants within the organization.
- Lead the exploration and evaluation of AI coding assistant tools and technologies.
- Experiment with new features and functionalities of current AI coding assistants to enhance developer productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI coding assistant capabilities into development workflows.
- Release and manage AI coding assistant capabilities for engineers, ensuring smooth deployment and adoption.
- Conduct thorough assessments and comparative evaluations of different AI tools to identify the most effective solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to bring innovation and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and support data load jobs for loading coding assistant telemetry data into internal data warehouses.
- Monitor data pipelines and systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience as Lead Engineer, or similar role, with a strong background in software development.
- Proven experience in a technical support or engineering role.
- Hands-on expertise in Python programming and familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct comparative evaluations of different tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for innovation and staying current with emerging technologies in AI and software development.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining IDE extensions for environments like Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, etc.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
