Overview
The Housing and Residence Life Operations team supports the residential facilities upkeep, renewal, and new construction through strategic planning and collaboration with the University's Facilities Management department.
The Project Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and overseeing the execution of capital and non-capital renovation and renewal projects. This role includes managing Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) replacements and providing input for long-range planning of housing inventory.
Responsibilities Project Identification and Development:
Identify potential capital and non-capital renovation and renewal projects. Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timelines. Project Execution:
Oversee the execution of renovation and renewal projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. FF&E Management:
Manage the replacement of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) to ensure that housing facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of residents. Long-Range Planning:
Provide input and recommendations for long-range planning of housing inventory to support the strategic goals of the organization. Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate project status, updates, and any issues to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree At least four years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification Strong organizational and planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Proficiency in project management software and tools (i.e. e-Builder, Bluebeam, PowerBI) The Project Manager is regularly required to:
• Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand.
• Talk and hear at normal levels.
• See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Use hands and fingers to operate tools and other business machines.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
The anticipated hiring range is $80,000-$95,000, commensurate with education and experience.
