The Graduate Research Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting graduate education and research initiatives across the university. Working closely with the Director, this position contributes to the development of strategic reports, supports research activities, manages internal and external communications, and facilitates programming aimed at enhancing the graduate student and faculty experience. This position also assists with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and provides support in identifying research funding opportunities, with a strong focus on the behavioral and social sciences.
Position Duties Collaborate with the Director to develop reports and assessments that inform graduate education and research strategy. Design and conduct needs assessments for graduate education and research support through interviews, surveys, and behavioral data collection from faculty and graduate students. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and generate detailed recommendations to enhance support systems for faculty and graduate students. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a centralized website and resource hub for graduate education. Organize and support university-wide graduate student events (e.g., orientations, workshops, research symposia). Assist with the management of IRB-related data, including proposal tracking and data entry for effective monitoring. Review and support high-volume student and classroom IRB proposals, particularly those in Psychology, Social Sciences, and Nursing. Develop accessible training materials to support graduate students in navigating the IRB process. Coordinate IRB-related events, including board meetings and information sessions. Maintain and update a searchable database of research funding opportunities, with emphasis on social science and behavioral research. Conduct targeted grant searches tailored to faculty research interests or program needs. Support the development and maintenance of the Office's digital presence, including the website and social media platforms. Assist in summarizing and promoting the accomplishments of graduate students and faculty. Help coordinate internal and external events and initiatives that foster interdisciplinary collaboration and community engagement. Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time. Position Qualifications
Master's degree in Psychology or a related field required. Experience collaborating across academic departments or units. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including survey design, data collection, and statistical analysis. Familiarity with IRB processes and research compliance is preferred. Experience with web content management and social media platforms is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed.
