ProSidian Consulting seeks an Energy Analyst in CONUS/OCONUS - Washington, DC to support an engagement for an independent agency of the United States Federal Govt. that is concerned with the United States' policies regarding energy and safety in handling nuclear material. The agency has a mission to lead national efforts to modernize the electric grid; enhance security and reliability of the energy infrastructure; and facilitate recovery from disruptions to energy supply.
The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide financial, technical, analytical, modeling, project management, and communications support to meet on-going requirements within the agency.
Energy Analyst Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and primary role is to provide management and oversight support for Advanced Grid Research and Development and be requested to provide technical and/or analytical assessments of grid reliability and resilience utilizing the deployment and integration of advanced technologies.
The Energy Analyst must have technical experience (e.g., energy modeling, analytics, knowledge of energy infrastructure, etc.), analyze energy supply/demand impacts resulting from disruptions to the energy sector, and critically assess a future state after the application of advanced technologies. They must understand the fundamental drivers of energy markets, interpret trends, understand issues, and identify opportunities to mitigate potential risks, enhance performance, and optimize business operations.
The Energy Analyst position requires a Bachelor's degree with five years work experience or a technical background in modeling and conducting analytical research in support of energy infrastructure impacts and/or disruptions to the grid. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
TRAVEL: Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at the CONUS/OCONUS - Washington, DC
