Job Title: Software Architect HBITS Task Order: HBITS-07-14171 Agency: Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Location: 500 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304 (Region 1) Rate:Depends on experience
Position Overview: The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking an experienced Software Architect to support the CHOICES System, a highly customized, cloud-based MS Dynamics 365 solution. This 30-month engagement involves maintaining and enhancing the BizTalk application environment, ensuring high-volume data updates function efficiently, and implementing future-state architecture in light of end-of-life planning for BizTalk. Responsibilities: Maintain and resolve issues in MS BizTalk application instances Monitor BizTalk traffic to ensure successful data delivery Identify and troubleshoot performance issues, working with internal teams or Microsoft support Modify Pipelines, Orchestrations, Mappings, Schemas, and .NET code related to BizTalk data Evaluate and implement proof-of-concept replacements for BizTalk ahead of its end-of-life Address production issues and resolve Help Desk tickets Contribute to ongoing stability, scalability, and enhancements for CHOICES and related systems Complete all required training, including Internal Controls, Information Security, and more Minimum Required Experience: 5 years of experience in the analysis, design, development, deployment, and troubleshooting of BizTalk integration solutions for enterprise-level applications using WCF and web services (SOA) 5 years of experience monitoring BizTalk traffic, identifying performance issues, and tuning BizTalk for optimized operation 5 years of experience designing and developing high-performance web applications using ASP.NET/C# in a .NET/IIS environment 5 years of experience designing, developing, and securing SOAP and REST web services using WCF and Web API 3 years of experience developing and modifying .NET-based applications that integrate with other .NET systems Educational Attainment: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
