Description
We are seeking a strategic and analytical
Compensation Manager
to join our Total Rewards team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and governance of compensation programs that support our talent strategy and business objectives. You will partner closely with HR and business leaders to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation practices across the organization, driving informed decision-making and enhancing employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and management of compensation structures, salary guidelines, and variable pay programs that align with the company’s compensation philosophy and strategic goals. Provide strategic compensation consulting to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and senior leadership, advising on offers, promotions, job leveling, and internal equity. Oversee job evaluations, market benchmarking, and pay analyses for a diverse range of hospitality roles, from hourly frontline employees to executives. Lead the annual compensation planning process, including merit cycles, incentive awards, and long-term incentive programs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with budget and performance outcomes. Monitor market trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency). Own relationships with compensation survey vendors and guide survey participation and benchmarking strategies. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and other key partners to align compensation strategies with broader business planning and compliance requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing compensation tools, processes, and systems for greater efficiency and impact. Support executive compensation planning and administration in partnership with senior HR and leadership stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis or related HR roles. Strong understanding of compensation principles, incentive design, and market pricing methodologies within a service-driven industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with compensation platforms (e.g., Workday, Mercer, Payscale) is preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to translate complex data into actionable insights for HR and business leaders. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, multi-location environment with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
