Job Description: Position Purpose:
Provide case management and clinical services to employees within their regulated scope of practice.
Experience/Education:
• BA/BS in nursing degree and current RN license in New York State
• Prefer minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience in case management, utilization review and/or quality assurance
• Experience in acute episodic care, wellness care and counseling of adults
• Proficiency in use of electronic medical record keeping systems desirable
• BLS certification required
• Case Management and COHN-S and preferred
Major Responsibilities:
• Manage Short Term Disability by tracking claims and communicate case status to employees, supervisors/mangers, hrSource, Human Resources and healthcare providers.
• Facilitate and be a resource to employees in a smooth transitional (modified) or full return to work assignments.
• Assist nurse practitioner as needed with patient care activities such as triage, counseling, patient education, acute or emergency visits, first aid, and other activities as needed
• Provides care for patients with occupational injuries and illnesses; includes notifications required for work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Provides nursing care to patients with non-work-related acute medical problems
• Provides preventive care and wellness services and counseling
• Supports site health promotion and disease prevention programs
• Documents patient data in electronic medical database(s), as per standard protocols

• OSHA Blood-borne pathogen/Universal precautions
Clinical Skills:
• Clinical skill performance within RN scope of practice
• Phlebotomy, EKG, medication administration, immunizations.
• Basic physical assessment & first aid
Position Location/Schedule:
Full-Time Contractor Position (First 6 months- 5 days onsite, then 4 days/week onsite and 1 day remote) 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
