Looking for a Reliability Engineer to work in a cloud platform environment, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo. The role involves enabling data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. This position is part of the Operations Team, responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational stability, providing customer support, and possessing technical troubleshooting expertise. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team environment, be self-motivated, and proactively complete tasks with strong attention to detail. The candidate will be exposed to various technologies depending on customer requirements. This is an on-call position, expected to provide Tier 1 through 3 support. A strong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment is required. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, and scripting languages such as Python and Bash is beneficial. Qualifications
Eleven (11) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired, which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. A Master's degree in a technical field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience. Degrees in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar fields are acceptable. One of the following certifications is required: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator-Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer, or Elastic Certified Observability Engineer. Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required. Preferred qualifications include: Prometheus, JIRA, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Virtualization, Salt/Ansible, Grafana, OpenStack, and AWS.
