Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a
Hadoop & ETL Developer
to join their team. As a Hadoop & ETL Developer, you will be part of the Data Engineering department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title:

Plano, Texas Position type:
12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion W2 only (No third-party candidates will be considered for this role). Responsibilities: Understand design and propose high-level and detailed design solutions to resolve business and technical problems. Engage in discussions with the information architecture team to propose new technology adoption ideas. Perform BAU support activities including analysis, coding, and driving development activities at offshore. Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and design solutions for real-time issues in production. Identify gaps in technology and propose viable solutions to enhance application performance.
Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of ETL, database technologies, big data, and data processing skills. 3+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using tools like Informatica or SSIS. 3+ years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, and Python. Proficient scripting skills in Unix shell and Perl scripting. Experience troubleshooting data-related issues and processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
