nYour Opportunity
nOur engineering team is looking for mid-level Water/Wastewater Engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience. You will have the opportunity to design water and wastewater projects including collections systems, pump stations, distribution systems, treatment plants, etc.
nResponsibilities
n· Provide coordination between clients, government agencies and KEM staff.
n· Provide detailed design/plan development for water/wastewater treatment, pumping stations, sanitary collection systems, water distribution systems and construction inspection.
n· Collaborate on new business development for KEM water/wastewater services.
n· Develop technical specifications, permit applications, sewer system evaluation surveys, cost estimates, etc.
n· Assist with development of project scopes and schedules.
n· Provide other duties as assigned by Directors.
nCapabilities
n· Project coordination skills.
n· Knowledge and interest in treatment plants, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems along with other public infrastructure design.
n· Strong written and oral communication skills.
n· Good problem solving/decision making skills.
n· Must be a versatile team player that shows an eagerness to learn (interpersonal skills).
n· Candidates shall be dependable and exhibit a positive attitude.
n· Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes is .
n· Requires understanding and/or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
n· Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
n· Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
nEducation and Experience
n· · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
