Position Summary •Responsible for processing sections and stains of histology/cytology specimens.
Education •Certified and Senior Histology Tech: High School Diploma; Histology Certification •Non Certified Histology Tech: High School Diploma
Licenses and Certification •Certified and Senior Histology Technician: Certification •Non Certified Histology Tech: None
Experience and Skills •Senior Histology Technician and non-certified Histology Technician: 3 years Technical Experience Required
Role Specific Responsibilities •Enters test requests, collects and processes specimens. •Assists the Pathologist. •Senior - Compile end of month Quality Assurance and Quality Control reports •Senior - Maintain, review and revise department policies and Procedures •Senior - Maintain Department inventory •Senior - Review and maintain compliance with Regulatory Standards
