Position Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.
is seeking a skilled
Histotechnologist
for
travel assignments
in various healthcare facilities. This role involves processing tissue samples for microscopic examination, performing advanced histological procedures, and ensuring laboratory standards are met. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, knowledge of laboratory protocols, and experience working with specialized histotechnology techniques.
Responsibilities
Prepare and process
tissue samples
for microscopic evaluation. Perform
embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting
of specimens. Utilize specialized staining techniques such as
immunohistochemistry (IHC) and special stains . Operate and maintain
histology laboratory equipment . Ensure compliance with
quality control and laboratory safety protocols . Assist pathologists in
diagnostic procedures . Maintain
accurate laboratory documentation and patient records . Travel to different healthcare facilities for
temporary assignments . Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field. Certification:
ASCP certification as a
Histotechnologist (HTL)
required. Experience:
Minimum
1-2 years
of experience in a histology laboratory. Skills:
Expertise in
tissue processing, special staining techniques, and laboratory compliance . Travel Readiness:
Willingness to take on travel assignments and relocate as needed. Benefits
