Job Description
The 7th Judicial District of the Iowa Judicial Branch has an opening for a District Court Administrator in Scott County.

The pay range for this position is $93,163.20 - $148,824.00 annually, paid bi-weekly. The starting salary is expected to be at the base of the pay range, with possible adjustments for relevant experience. This position is FLSA exempt and non-contractual.
Summary
Responsible for district court administration and judicial operations to support the Iowa Judicial Branchs mission, values, and goals.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct operations through subordinate managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Enforce personnel policies and procedures.
- Represent management in employment relations matters.
- Ensure compliance with Iowa Code 602.
- Implement standards, priorities, mission, values, goals, and objectives of the Iowa Judicial Branch.
- Lead improvements in management, court performance, professional development, and workforce management.
- Analyze statistical data and reports on court operations.
- Manage problem-solving, solution development, and implementation.
- Develop and lead modernization and innovation of court operations.
- Manage resources, budget, staffing, and financial operations.
- Lead large projects from conception to completion.
- Engage with the community and manage public relations.
- Other duties as assigned.

This is a non-merit, exempt position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow application instructions. Positions are exempt from certain screening requirements.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Certified Court Executive (CCE) or Certified ICM Fellow from the National Center for State Courts.
- Four (4) years in a professional management role.
Relevant education may substitute for experience (30 semester hours = 1 year).
Additional Requirements
The Chief Judge of the district appoints and may remove the administrator for cause per Iowa Code 602.1214.
