Essential Function Job Description $66,560 - $79,040 - Annual Salary Pay Range $33.00 - $38.00 - Hourly Salary Pay Range FLSA - Exempt Job Code: 655 Description: Under general direction, the Bus Operations Training Supervisor provides administrative oversight of the bus operations training unit of the Operations Department; supporting the Director in the achievement of long and short-range strategic planning objectives, daily training activities and scheduling, department operations, talent deployment, performance, training and development for subordinate classifications. Supervision Received and Exercised: This classification reports to the Operations Manager and the Director of Operations. This classification supervises the classification of Bus Operations Training Coordinator. Core Competencies: Technical Expertise in Functional Area: Demonstrated experience with bus operator training programs; including knowledge of regulatory requirements related to commercial driver training. Ethical Leadership and Public Service: Upholding ethical standards, promoting transparency, and ensuring adherence to workplace ethics, conflict of interest policies, and regulatory compliance requirements. Critical Thinking and Practical Decision Making: Consistent ability to make sound assessments and determinations based upon a variety of factors impacting short and long-term outcomes. Effective Communication and Collaboration: Effectively and positively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, orally and in writing. Working collaboratively alongside a variety of agency stakeholders to effectively achieve District goals and objectives related to Bus Operations training programs and initiatives. Essential Functions: - Assist in the development, evaluation, modification and implementation of the District's Drivers' Training programs. - Coordinates and develops training curriculum for other positions within the department and provides District Defensive Driving instruction. Develops driver-related training materials, lesson plans, and training instruction for newly hired/promoted.
